the dirty work.

With any landscape project, a design only comes to fruition through construction. Dirt and details will always shape success in the end. With over 10 years of on-site large-scale construction inspection, I have provided management and contract oversight ensuring that dirt meets design.

Quality assurance and installation inspection can provide peace of mind to keep a project running smoothly or correct if not going so well. ILA Design will provide objective job-site assessments and corrective measure reports to ensure completion per contract and schedule if needed on your project.

Dependent on the design path chosen, contractor procurement and bid review options are also available to get your project into dirt work.

wetland delineation

Prior to construction, an Army Corps of Engineers wetland delineation review is required on most projects. I have completed the Richard Chinn Wetland Delineation training course covering the wetland delineation process and evaluation parameters. Wetland delineation follows three basic categories of soils, vegetation, and hydrology to establish a benchmark for impact or required avoidance. Wetland banking or new wetland establishment are two additional methods to explore when an impact is unavoidable.

inspection

On-site oversight of work quality and schedule assurances are often necessary aspects of project completion. An objective overall review of site work ensures contract and quality adherence. Construction blue-prints are always intended for build-ability; however, Contractor interpretation of specifications and design can still require on-site instruction. My background as the creator of plans and details backed by on-site experience and knowledge of machinery, materials, and building crews will provide a critical role in project success.

bids and contracts

ILA Design can provide contract bidding assistance to review and validate construction costs to aid in choosing the right contractor and schedule.
